second photo shoot

As a result of my first photo shoot i resulted that my successful images were of the models looking at their results. From my research i concluded the models should be looking at the paper rather than the camera. I changed my setting due to the school in the background obstructing the image, i used a forrest background to ensure the students were the main focus.

I rearranged the models i used to ensure the set up was flattering and incoprorated the most flattering aspects of each model.

I ensured the school uniform was still a main factor of the images as it was in the first shoot. This highlights my improvements i made due to the weaknesses of my photographs, and the aspects i kept the same due to their successes.

I feel my second shoot identifies my changes and the improvements i had to make to ensure more improved, refined images.

This image i feel could be closer and more focussed on the models within the shot. Due to the low angle too much grass has been incoporated in the image. i would crop the image to ensure it was focussed on fewer girls as i feel this is too overpowering. i feel the expression of the girl on the far left is the best aspect of this image, it gives the image a meaning to look further into. the girls needed their hair pushed back therefore i would draw from this shoot the knowledge to not use girls with short hair due to the girl having trouble keeping it off her face.

This image is closer and more refined due to drawing improvements from my first shot. The only thing i would want to change is the hair that keeps falling in front of their face, this makes the image a bad image. I would also remove the coat from the model due to the focus on school uniform; i feel these factors let down my images. However the angle looking up to the students works because it gives it depth and draws the readers eye into the heart of the image. I feel the paper doesnt obstuct the image therefore it doesnt hinder the quality as it did in the image i researched. I feel the background works better because it allows a higher level of focus being on the models.

This image is obstructed by the grass; this was a hazard due to the low angle i opted. After this image it made me aware of the surroundings being an issue this prepares me for images i take in the future. i feel this image is too close due to it not capturing the whole of the group. the paper is obstructing the face of one of the models this is a disadvantage and a cause for change to be made to improve my final image.

In this image the girls hair is still an issue next time it prepares me to provide hair bands to control it and also take the weather into consideration for the sake of the lighting. due to the constant wind affecting the hair it makes it less refined due to the blured view of the hair as it constantly moves. With all of my images i would crop them down to incoporate only certain girls to ensure my photo is as visually pleasing as possible.

  1. I am really pleased with the effort you are putting in. Bear in mind for the music magazine that you may need to do more than three photo shoots for the front cover. Choose someone who would be willing to do that for you.
