Magazine brief.
My aim is to create a music magazine that fits into the rock genre. It will have the visual aspect and colour themes that are typical of a rock music magazine such as ‘Classic Rock’ and ‘NME.’ The model will resemble a classic rockstar and have the image that will ensure the magazine is a clear genre for the audience to be aware of the tone of the magazine. I will use my uncle; previous member of T’pau the band signed to Richard Branston’s label virgin media. Therefore my model is a real rockstar that will have the right stage presence to create the vibe of a performing artist as I could take the photos as he is on stage. I will create a contents page with photographs on of a range of models and aspects to show diversity to my creativity. I will then write and design a two page spread that will have a different model on it and create a story that coincides with the rock genre to ensure the magazine is professional, influenced by my research and precise to the genre it is incorporating. The gender of my magazine will be split as rock music can cater for both genders, the age will be quite wide spread as teenagers enjoy NME and the older generation enjoy Classic Rock… therefore mine will target the audience of both.
