My Magazine Front Cover

I showed relation to my research when creating my magazine front cover due to the pages i included and their similarities and influence clear to be seen amongst the pages of research i made on the existing magazines.

This identifies how my research has influenced my magazine and the usefulness of it when creating my own. It gave me the ideas of what pages to include and also gave me ideas of the layout.

As i was worried about how much writing to incorporate on the front cover therefore i refered back to my research and noticed that each magazine i researched all had limited writing on that informed the reader of their contents; therefore i decided to use limited writing about its contents and instead save that for when i create my contents page.

I feel my magazine cover is successful in terms of looking professional.

I have incoporated a bar code, an issue number and the school badge to give it a sense of reality and relate it to the topic. I used an award to incorporate another image on the front cover.

I used limited text and labelling of the pages because i didnt want to obstruct the image.

I used a colour theme of maroon, blue and white. i feel this is incoporated well within the image and combined text.

It is flattering to the eye however the image is slightly blurred which i would ensure i improve on within my images for my next task.

I would also put a colour block background around the title because i feel it is fading into the background whereas it should be standing out because it is a main feature.

I feel my use of photoshop improved my front cover and taught me many techniques to take forward with me.

This is my front cover in In Design; i print screened it as i was reproducing the colours of their uniform to ensure a perfect match to the colour of the text. I did this by creating it and then turning it into a swatch on my colour block and then selecting it for certain text i used.
