Annotation of a third school magazine
This school magazine is telling the reader exactly what it is; a guide to independent schools. This ensures there is no confusion.
I feel the bold text showing the reader the aim of the magazine is successful. The colours tie in with the other writing visible on the front cover. I would however have also used a colour font to tie in with the main feature of the image; the statue.
I feel the image is clear in terms of representing schools, much like this magazine is doing. It is a good quality photo and is different and eye catching. The uniform is an important part of the image much like it will be in my own.
In terms of success it isn’t highlighting much, however the statue is obviously of someone successful therefore by making it a main feature it highlights success.
The price and bar code make it look successful and impressive I would encorporate those on my own front cover.
The red background image paired with the white background is a good mix of colours, despite it not tying in with the colours in the image it allows each part to stand out individually however I feel I would like my colours to match such as on the other magazines I annotated.
